About this opportunity
The State of Washington Department of Enterprise Services, Facility Professional Services, is requesting sealed bids for a remodel of the third floor of Office Building 2 at the Department of Social & Health Services for the Health Care Licensing Authority, with bids due October 6, 2026 at 1:00 PM and a mandatory pre-bid walkthrough on September 16.
This is a public works project in Thurston County subject to Washington State prevailing wage rates and a mandatory requirement of 15 percent apprentice labor hours of total labor hours. Voluntary workforce diversity goals are established at 12 percent MBE, 8 percent WBE, 5 percent SBE or PWSBE, and 5 percent Veterans. The successful bidder must register in the DES Diversity Compliance program (B2Gnow).
The estimated bid cost range is $3.7 million to $4.1 million. The project location is Office Building 2, 1115 Washington Street SE, Olympia, Washington 98504. Bids will be submitted through the DES Public Procurement Portal at https://deswa.bonfirehub.com, and a virtual public bid opening will be conducted via Microsoft Teams at approximately 1:30 PM on October 6.
Bidders must submit Subcontractor Listing Form A (for HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical work) with the bid; failure to do so renders the bid non-responsive. Form B (for Structural Steel Installation and Rebar Installation) must be submitted within forty-eight hours after the bid deadline via email to FPSsubcontractorlist@des.wa.gov or through the Procurement Portal. Plans and specifications are available through the DES Public Procurement Portal or from Shive-Hattery upon deposit of $100.00. The project manager is Tricia Bess at tricia.bess@des.wa.gov or (360) 490-0916.
