About this opportunity
SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking to purchase Draeger Anesthesia Machines and Related Products from a Vizient consortium contract awarded without formal competitive process, with vendor inquiries due by October 8, 2026. This procurement invokes NYS Finance Law 139 j&k (Lobbying Law), restricting all vendor contact to Virginia Frost; contacting other Upstate personnel may result in contract rejection or debarment from all NYS agencies.
The university will accept equivalent anesthesia machines meeting the clinical performance of Draeger equipment, provided the vendor is authorized to sell Draeger products under the Vizient contract. Vendors offering clinical equivalents must supply free supporting clinical documentation and provide equipment for examination, demonstration, and trial at no cost to Upstate.
The successful contractor must submit valid and current New York State Workers' Compensation and Disability Forms. No incumbent contract is identified; no prior awardees for identical or substantially similar procurements exist within the past five years. Contract value and term are not specified. Place of performance is Onondaga County, New York.
Interested vendors should contact Virginia Frost at SUNY Upstate Medical University's Hospital Purchasing Department to discuss the procurement.
