Bidders must provide unit pricing for four line items: an annual fire alarm inspection fee covering all labor and associated costs; a percentage markup for new equipment, parts, devices, or component replacements; a technician hourly labor rate for repairs or replacements; and a technician helper hourly labor rate for the same services. All quotes for repair or replacement work must be itemized with contracted hourly rates, number of technicians, cost price, markup percentage, selling price with markup, estimated technician and helper labor hours, and total costs.

The not-to-exceed contract value is $25,000 with potential annual renewal by written agreement up to five years from the effective date. Price escalation during contract performance is limited to documented increases in materials or labor costs, with annual increases capped at five percent and overall increases not to exceed the $25,000 ceiling. Suppliers must be registered in Alabama Buys and with the Alabama Secretary of State if foreign entities. Invoices are due upon service completion with Net 30 payment terms. The specification excludes fire sprinkler, backflow preventer, and fire extinguisher inspections or repairs. Contact Shelia Rogers at 334.293.3132 to schedule inspections in advance.
