About this opportunity
The San Diego Community College District (SDCCD) Facilities Management Department is requesting bids for inverter and battery replacement across six College of Continuing Education campuses under Project HH252, with bids due July 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. (PDT). The scope requires removal of existing inverters and batteries and replacement with like-kind units. The contractor must confirm that replacement inverters will fit within existing spaces and provide model numbers with the bid. Acceptable inverter brands are limited to MYERS, ISOLITE, or DUAL-LITE. Inverters bearing "BUILD AMERICA, BUY AMERICA" certification receive special consideration. Contractors must provide pricing for both 2-year and 5-year warranty options.
The estimated bid value ranges from $300,000 to $500,000, awarded on a lump-sum basis. Place of performance spans six College of Continuing Education campuses throughout San Diego. Bid, payment, and performance bonds are required at 10, 100, and 100 percent respectively. A C-10 electrical license is required.
Questions are due July 6, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. (PDT), submitted through the PlanetBids vendor portal. Bids are likewise submitted electronically through PlanetBids.
