The assignment addresses a gap in medically accurate, personalized information for individuals navigating abortion journeys in Nepal through a Messenger-based Digital Accompaniment model.
The consultant will develop comprehensive content across three abortion journey phases—before abortion (decision-making and options), during abortion (personalized guidance and complications management), and after abortion (recovery support and contraception information)—covering first trimester and post-13-week procedures, medication information, pain management, certified health facility referrals, helpline services, and myth-busting guidance. The consultant must coordinate with Ipas Nepal, Visible Impact, Naamii, the Family Welfare Division, and the National Health Education and Information Center.
The minimum qualification is five years of experience in safe abortion services; digital content development and direct interaction with abortion service seekers are desirable. The assignment must be completed within 30 days of the letter of engagement, with tasks finalized by the end of September 2026. No contract value is stated. Ipas Nepal has been providing technical support for evidence-informed safe abortion and contraception services in Nepal since abortion's legalization in 2002 and works across federal, provincial, and local government levels including the Ministry of Health and Population, Department of Health Services, and various divisions and centers.
