About this opportunity

The State of Colorado Judicial Department, 5th Judicial District, issued a Request for Proposal for furnishings and installation services at the Clear Creek County Courthouse in Georgetown, Colorado. The procurement seeks a single qualified vendor to design, supply, and install comprehensive office and courtroom furnishings for a courthouse remodel project. The scope of work includes systems furniture comprising six ergonomic workstations, two laminate offices, two laminate and wood veneer attorney-client conference tables, multiple types of seating (task chairs, side chairs, ergonomic chairs, post-base and star-base jury chairs, witness chairs), two jury deliberation rooms each seating 14 persons, two courtrooms with 26-28 chairs each plus counsel tables and judicial seating, a court reporter station, lecterns, and reception/waiting area furniture. All furniture must be delivered and installed in two phases scheduled for August 8, 2017, and September 29, 2017, respectively, with FOB Destination pricing (zero freight) and Net 30 payment terms following District acceptance. A mandatory pre-submittal conference and job walk was held on April 14, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. in Georgetown, Colorado; the deadline for written questions was April 17, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. MST; and proposals were due April 28, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. MST, with submission required as one hard copy original and one electronic PDF version to Cheryl O'Donnell, Purchasing Manager, at the Office of the State Court Administrator in Denver. The Judicial Department will evaluate proposals based on specialization and experience, financial stability, product aesthetics and ergonomic features including ADA responsiveness, design expertise, warranty information, detailed implementation plans with Gantt charts, and cost analysis, with potential oral presentations or discussions conducted before final award recommendation.

Respondents must be registered Colorado vendors with a physical dealership or office location in Colorado (not a post office box) and must demonstrate a minimum of five years' documented experience in commercial interior office systems furniture with successful service records for government entities. Mandatory requirements include submission of audited or reviewed financial statements for the past three fiscal years, current liability and workers' compensation insurance, good standing with trade associations and regulatory agencies, and absence of fraud convictions or criminal offenses in connection with public contracts within the preceding five years. The total project budget does not exceed $170,000.00, which includes all furniture, delivery, and installation costs, with pricing submitted on a detailed spreadsheet including product descriptions, net pricing with delivery and installation, and total quantities by item. No set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises are identified in the solicitation documents. No incumbent vendors or existing contractors are referenced, and no existing infrastructure or technology integration requirements are specified. Proposals remain valid for 180 calendar days from the submission deadline, automatically extending an additional 120 days unless the respondent declines in writing at least 30 days prior to expiration.
