The scope encompasses all equipment, labor, services, and supplies necessary to maintain flowers, ground covers, lawns, shrubs, trees, and other plants in an attractive, healthy, and safe condition, including proper cleanup and off-site disposal of all generated clippings, debris, and pruning materials. Eligible bidders must hold a valid California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB) C-27 Landscaping Contractor License and be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations as required under prevailing wage laws. The work is subject to prevailing wage requirements under Labor Code Sections 1770, 1773, and 1773.1, with rates publicly available through the DIR.
The agreement is anticipated to be effective February 1, 2027 through January 31, 2028, with one optional one-year extension subject to satisfactory performance, funding availability, and Department of General Services approval. Bids will be awarded to the responsive and responsible firm offering the lowest cost after adjustments for applicable preferences and incentives. Bidders must demonstrate a sound business history, provide three client references from the past five years, and supply proof of liability insurance meeting specified requirements before agreement execution. Written questions are due August 6, 2026. Addendum 1, posted August 1, 2026, revised the bid due date from August 18 to August 25, 2026.
