About this opportunity

The Connecticut Office of Policy and Management Criminal Justice Policy and Planning Division is requesting applications for the State Share of the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (Byrne JAG) Program, with applications due October 15, 2026 through the state's EUNA Grants management system.

Eligible applicants may propose projects and programs addressing criminal justice activities on a statewide level or serving multiple municipalities regionally. Eligible activity categories include law enforcement, prosecution and courts, prevention and education, corrections, drug treatment, program planning, evaluation, and technology improvements. This is a federal grant distribution program, not a procurement for goods or services; applicants compete for funding allocations rather than bid on defined deliverables.

No estimated total funding amount, per-award ceiling, or individual line-item values are specified in the solicitation. No set-asides, preference programs, or eligibility restrictions beyond the criminal justice scope are identified. Questions should be directed to Rosemary Volinski at CJPPDJAG@ct.gov. The solicitation document is available at https://www.gotomygrants.com/Public/Opportunities/Details/8cbe9242-1b4d-47b8-8ab1-80b4daddc624.
