About this opportunity
The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is soliciting bids for miscellaneous big bus parts, with a due date of September 11, 2026 — noting this date has already passed as of the summary date. Bidders must be original equipment manufacturers, authorized dealers, approved resellers, or agents authorized by the OEM. OCTA will award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder with available inventory; awards may be split among bidders based on overall benefit to OCTA.
Bidders must provide manufacturer name, brand name, model number, best price, warranty terms, and lead time. All freight and delivery costs must be included in the bid price. Line items lacking stated brand name and model number may be found non-responsive. If bidding a brand other than requested, the item must receive OCTA approved-equal status prior to bidding, which requires pre-approval through submission of fully supported technical data on an Approved Equal Form; OCTA reviews, tests, and judges all equality, substitutability, and compatibility claims at no cost to OCTA, with the burden of proof on the bidder.
Warranty terms influence award results. Bidders must state the manufacturer's name and complete the warranty section, including a warranty start-date checkbox. Bidders must provide pass-through genuine new parts manufacturer and/or supplied parts warranties in addition to separate warranties and obligations; bidders remain responsible for both categories of warranty.
The source does not identify an incumbent, estimated contract value, contract term, or performance location beyond Orange County, California.
