About this opportunity
The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is requesting bids on miscellaneous big-bus parts with bids due August 5, 2026. Bidders must be the original equipment manufacturer, an authorized dealer or approved reseller, a subcontractor, or an agent authorized by the OEM.
OCTA will award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder with available inventory. The award of line items may be split among bidders based on overall benefit to OCTA. Best warranty terms may influence award results. All freight and delivery costs must be included in the bid price.
Each bid line item must include the manufacturer name and complete warranty section with warranty start date checkbox. Brand name and model number identify the standard of requirement; if not stated, the line item may be found non-responsive. Bidders proposing a brand other than requested must have OCTA pre-approval as an approved equal prior to bidding. To obtain approved-equal status, the item must be pre-approved through OCTA's approved-equal process with fully supported technical data attached to an Approved Equal Form. OCTA reviews and tests the data; if accepted as an approved equal, the bidder may use that item in future solicitations. The bidder bears the burden of proof as to equality, substitutability, and compatibility of proposed alternates or equals and must furnish all necessary information at no cost to OCTA. OCTA is the sole judge of equality, substitutability, and compatibility.
Bidders must provide a pass-through genuine new parts manufacturer and/or supplied parts warranty in addition to separate warranties and obligations. Bidders are responsible for both separate and pass-through warranties.
