About this opportunity
Travis County, Texas is soliciting proposals for geotechnical investigation and engineering analysis services for the Ben E. Fisher Park Redevelopment Project, with proposals due October 23, 2026.
The scope encompasses subsurface exploration, foundation design recommendations, and site stability analysis. Work includes drilling thirty borings at depths ranging from 8 to 60 feet (total footage of 541 feet) to characterize soil and rock conditions along the project alignment; laboratory and field testing to determine physical and engineering properties of subsurface materials; engineering analyses to support design of creek bank structures, bridge foundations, and park facilities; and grading and site preparation recommendations. Deliverables include a comprehensive report documenting subsurface exploration methodology, laboratory testing program results, general site characterization, foundation recommendations, and creek bank stability assessment with design limitations.
The source does not identify estimated contract value, contract term, place of performance, incumbent contractor, evaluation criteria, pre-bid meeting or site visit, or question deadline.
Opportunity text
HVJ SCTxs scope of work is to gather information on subsurface conditions along the project alignment, provide foundation recommendations for the pre-engineered bridge and park facilities, perform stability analysis on erosion control measures and provide recommendations for site preparation grading for Ben Fisher Park. The objectives were accomplished by: 1. Drilling thirty (30) borings at depths ranging from 8 to 60 feet below the surface grade for total depth of 541 feet. 2. Performing laboratory and field tests to determine physical and engineering characteristics of the soil and rock material encountered. 3. Perform engineering analyses to aid in the design of the proposed creek bank structures, bridge and park foundation recommendations and site preparation recommendations. Subsequent sections of this report contain descriptions of the subsurface exploration, laboratory testing program, general site characterization, foundation recommendations and creek bank structures stability and limitations.
