About this opportunity
The State of Alabama Office of the Chief Procurement Officer is issuing a Quick Quote solicitation (BCL27*358183-SS-BioRad) for fiscal year 2027, with responses due September 23, 2026.
Responses must be submitted electronically through Alabama Buys by the stated close date. Suppliers must be registered in Alabama Buys and direct all inquiries through the Supplier Portal. By submitting a quote, suppliers affirm they have read the solicitation, received all amendments, agree to furnish items or services at quoted prices, and comply with all terms and conditions.
The contract value ceiling is $25,000, with a maximum contract term of five years from the effective date. Any resulting contract may be renewed annually by written agreement of both parties. Pricing analysis will be conducted at the discretion of the Chief Procurement Officer based on cost realism and price reasonableness. Price increases during contract performance may be considered if material, labor, or other contract components significantly increase through no fault of the supplier; approved increases cannot exceed five percent of annual contract cost and must be documented and approved in writing by both parties.
Suppliers employing individuals within Alabama must be enrolled in the E-Verify program, with verification documentation required within five calendar days of notification or the bid will be rejected. All suppliers must certify compliance with Alabama sales tax remittance requirements and register with the Alabama Secretary of State if operating as a foreign corporation. The State reserves the right to request proof of qualifications, including manufacturer authorizations and licenses, and retains the authority to cancel contracts for convenience with as much notice as practicable. Contracts are governed by Alabama law with exclusive venue in Montgomery, and disputes are subject to good faith negotiation and non-binding alternative dispute resolution including mediation.
