About this opportunity

The County of Los Angeles Department of Beaches and Harbors is conducting a Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSQ) for as-needed environmental consulting services focused on protecting sensitive biological resources at County-operated beaches and Marina del Rey. The primary objective is to ensure water quality compliance standards are met for environmental and human health protection. Qualified vendors must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in their field of specialty and demonstrate two to five years of relevant experience performing bird nesting surveys or working in marine environments. The initial submission deadline for Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) is 5:00 p.m. on November 18, 2024, though the County will continuously accept SOQs throughout the duration of the Master Agreement. Evaluation of vendors will be based exclusively on the qualifications presented in their submitted SOQs. Interested firms can access full solicitation details at doingbusiness.lacounty.gov and beaches.lacounty.gov/request-for-proposals/. Additional information and questions can be directed to Jean Dao at Contracts@bh.lacounty.gov.

The solicitation documents do not specify any set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or restrictions on organizational respondents. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available materials. Similarly, there are no details provided about existing infrastructure or technology integration requirements. The County has reserved the right to cancel the RFSQ and modify any terms and conditions, including minimum qualifications, which provides flexibility in the procurement process. No specific award values, contract amounts, or budget ranges are disclosed in the current documentation. Prospective vendors should review the complete RFSQ documentation to understand the full scope of requirements and potential opportunities for environmental consulting services with the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors.
