About this opportunity

The City of Port St. Lucie, Florida is requesting bids for armored car services to provide secure collection, transport, and delivery of funds from six city facilities to the city's financial institution under IFB, with bids due June 25, 2026 at 3:00 PM.

Services cover pickup from City Hall Buildings A and B, MidFlorida Event Center, PSL Community Center, Minsky Gym, and Saints Golf Course on a three-day-per-week schedule (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. The estimated volume is 780 pickups per location over the full contract term, totaling 4,680 pickups. The contractor must include all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, insurance, and permit costs in per-pickup pricing; no separate fuel surcharges or price increases are permitted unless formally amended by the city.

The initial contract term is two calendar years from execution, with three optional one-year renewal periods at the city's discretion. The contractor must obtain crime insurance with minimum limits of $1 million per loss, maintain workers' compensation and commercial general liability coverage, and provide proof of all required insurance certificates within ten business days of award. The contractor bears responsibility for all federal, state, and local taxes, permit fees, and compliance with Florida Statutes and city ordinances. Payment terms are net 30 days with proof of deposit required within one business day of collection.

The award will go to the single responsive and responsible contractor offering the lowest evaluated cost. Questions were due June 10, 2026. Additional on-demand services for Miami Bank of America fund retrieval are available but excluded from bid evaluation and pricing. Pricing must remain firm throughout the two-year initial term.
