About this opportunity
The City of Lakeland is soliciting proposals for annual wetlands maintenance services at a 1,600-acre artificial effluent disposal system located east of Mulberry, Florida, with proposals due August 31, 2026. This is a time-and-materials contract to be awarded on an as-required basis.
The scope covers furnishing all equipment, tools, materials, labor, transportation, and supervision required for maintenance and repair of the wetlands facility. The contractor must submit unit pricing on the provided Equipment Price Proposal Sheet; compensation is calculated against actual work performed under that schedule. The estimated annual contract value is $10,000, stated as a planning figure and not a minimum or maximum.
The contract term runs October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027, with an option for four additional one-year renewals upon mutual consent. Place of performance is the wetlands site in Polk County, east of Mulberry.
Attachments include selection criteria (wetlands_maintenance_selection_criteria.docx), wetlands maps, equipment pricing sheets, and standard indemnification and human trafficking affidavit forms. The posting documents reference multiple indemnification templates (Contractor, Consultant, and FDOT variants) and a PSM Contractor Audit Form, suggesting compliance and audit provisions are material to the award.
