About this opportunity
The City of Boston Procurement Department is requesting sealed bids for three new ADA-compliant passenger vans, with bids due September 30, 2026 at 12:00 PM and public opening at One City Hall Square Room 808.
Vendors must submit responses through the City's Online Sourcing & Procurement website (Event EV00017908) or via hard-copy paper bid with wet-ink signature. A mandatory compliance document must accompany each bid response; failure to submit it renders the bid non-responsive. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The contract term is one year.
The scope requires three identical new, latest-model vans equipped with 3.5L V-6 engines, 10-speed automatic transmissions, all-wheel drive, Oxford white exteriors, ADA-compliant platforms with rear-mounted wheelchair lifts (1,000-pound capacity), wheelchair securement systems, aluminum floor systems with L-track installations, expandable metal steps, Black Altro floor covering, full-color backup cameras, and dual batteries. Vehicles must receive Massachusetts State Inspection Stickers and license plates from the City prior to delivery. All warranty work must include full no-cost coverage of parts and labor, with pickup and delivery included; the vendor must also provide City of Boston Central Fleet Management staff the ability to perform warranty and factory recalls in-house, with labor and parts reimbursement rates included in the bid.
Bidders must indicate the number of days required from award to delivery and confirm they are certified dealerships capable of providing pickup and delivery services for warranty work. Delivery is an important factor in award determination. Vendors arranging delivery must contact Boston City Hall Central Fleet Management at 617-635-1281 (Monday–Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM).
Bid prices must be firm and quoted in U.S. dollars. Bidders must submit the Wage Theft Prevention Form CM-16 and, if applicable, the CM-06 Certificate of Authority form. The contract is subject to availability of appropriation. Questions should be directed to Christopher L. Radcliffe at 617-635-3422 or Christopher.radcliffe@boston.gov.
