About this opportunity

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is seeking bids for a contract to provide Forest Practice Rulebook Printing and Distribution Services. The contractor will be responsible for printing, binding, and distributing approximately 6,600 copies of the California Forest Practice Rules Book over a 3-year contract term, with an option to extend for one additional year. The rulebooks must meet specific requirements, including double-sided pages, coil binding on the 8.5" side, laminated covers, and mailing distribution to approximately 650 individuals. Bids are due by November 7, 2024, and the bid opening will be held virtually on November 8, 2024. Pricing must include all associated costs, and bid prices will be evaluated as the primary criterion. A 5% preference is available for certified Small Businesses (SB) or Microbusinesses (MB), and a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) incentive program is also in place, although no DVBE participation goals have been established.

The total contract value is not to exceed the estimated amount provided in the Invitation for Bid (IFB). CAL FIRE has not specified any incumbent vendors or current contractors, and the procurement does not appear to require the integration of any existing infrastructure or technology. This contract is funded by the State of California, and will be awarded to a single contractor to provide the required printing and distribution services over the 3-year term.
