About this opportunity
Henry County Purchasing Department is requesting price quotations for flooring materials and installation services at 38 Cleveland Street in Locust Grove, Georgia under RFQ #04-27, with quotations due August 20, 2026 at 3:00 PM Eastern Time. A local-vendor preference applies to Henry County-based businesses: responsive local bids within 5% of the lowest out-of-county bid receive preference and the opportunity to match that low bid, though this preference does not apply to contracts exceeding $100,000.
The scope comprises twelve line items including prime shoe molding, luxury vinyl tile flooring, carpet tiles, broadloom carpet for stairs, and associated adhesives and preparation work. The contractor must provide a start date and complete all work within 60 days, with work hours limited to 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Surfaces in question or affecting work quality must be brought to the county's project representative's attention during execution; defects in surfaces due to critical damage, textural issues, improper installation, or settling are not the contractor's liability except where the contractor is hired to repair or replace those items.
Pricing must be quoted FOB destination at the project location with shipping and handling charges listed separately; if not listed, quoted prices are assumed to include all charges. Quoted prices must remain firm for 90 days. The county prefers a single award for all items but reserves the right to make separate awards by group or line item.
All contractors must comply with Georgia's Security and Immigration Compliance Act, maintain general liability insurance with minimum coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 general aggregate, and workers' compensation insurance at Georgia statutory limits, with certificates of insurance due to the purchasing department within five days of award. Small business, local vendor, veteran-owned, disadvantaged business enterprise, and female-owned business enterprises are encouraged to participate. For questions or to schedule a site visit, contact Steve Keller at 404-670-0551.
