About this opportunity

This cooperative agreement from the Department of Justice Bureau of Prisons supports direct service delivery for the National Sheriffs' Institute. Applicants will devise and conduct seminars, workshops, and training programs for law enforcement, judicial personnel, probation and parole staff, corrections workers, and other groups working with offenders. Training topics will include treatment and rehabilitation of criminal and juvenile offenders. Technical training teams will also be developed to aid various state and local agencies. Applications are due April 30, 2024 and will be evaluated based on an applicant's ability to conduct these trainings in different geographic locations.

Funding is provided through the Corrections Training and Staff Development program under CFDA number 16.601. As a continuation of a previous award, unspecified award values are available to support work conducted through September 2023. Performance sites will likely include locations across various states to train practitioners from state and local corrections, law enforcement, and judicial partner agencies.
