About this forecast

The Department of the Interior National Park Service is procuring engineering services to replace oversized air handler units and perform commissioning at the Visitor Center at Wilson's Creek National Battlefield (WICR), with solicitation estimated for release on 31 January 2027. The two-phase project includes design work in the first year followed by installation and commissioning in the second year; both existing AHUs will be removed and replaced with correctly sized units equipped with integral return air fans to eliminate the need for remote return air equipment and address space pressurization concerns.

The estimated award value ranges from $500,000 to $999,000 for engineering services under NAICS 541330, with work performed in Missouri. Contact Sarah L Cunningham, Superintendent for Business & Operations at the National Park Service, at sarah_cunningham@nps.gov for additional information.

Forecast text

This project will address the issues with current HVAC system at WICR. It is two-part project, with design in first year and installation and commissioning in second year. During installation both existing air handler units (AHUs) will be removed and replaced with new AHUs that are correctly sized for the buildings. The AHUs would be equipped with an integral return air fan so a remote return air fan would not be required and can relieve air and satisfy space pressurization concerns.
