About this forecast
U.S. Customs and Border Protection is procuring Varonis Atlas, an AI security and governance software platform, through NASA SEWP as a total small business set-aside, with solicitation release estimated for August 18, 2026 and award anticipated September 22, 2026. The platform monitors and controls authorized and shadow AI tools across CBP's systems, continuously identifying where sensitive data such as Personally Identifiable Information and Controlled Unclassified Information is processed by AI models and enforcing real-time guardrails to prevent leakage of sensitive information regarding alien processing or enforcement actions against illegal immigration. This is a firm fixed-price contract covering a one-year period of performance from September 22, 2026 through September 21, 2027.
The estimated award value ranges from $500,000 to $1,000,000, with performance occurring at Ashburn, Virginia. Forecast text
Varonis Atlas is a comprehensive AI security and governance software platform designed to secure the entire lifecycle of AI systems, from development to runtime. As the agency integrates artificial intelligence into its workflows, the Cybersecurity Directorate requires a solution that provides visibility into both authorized and "shadow" AI tools. Atlas functions by continuously monitoring AI interactions, identifying where sensitive data—such as Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)—is being processed by AI models. It enforces real-time guardrails to prevent data leakage, ensuring that sensitive information regarding the processing of aliens or enforcement actions against illegal immigration is not inadvertently exposed or ingested by unauthorized AI systems.
Acquisition Strategy: This will be NASA SEWP total small business set aside.
