Forecast text

PCM Description: Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, supervision, and materials to cut and cap the unforeseen active waterline, including the installation of a mechanical cap on the remaining portion of the line to ensure a secure and watertight termination. All work shall be conducted to leave the area in a safe condition prepared for subsequent construction activities and in accordance with all applicable utility safety standards.

PCM Justification: During demolition activities, Walsh Federal, LLC’s demolition subcontractor encountered an active waterline that was designated for removal on drawing CD-102 under the presumption that it was inactive. The Contractor formally notified the government of this unforeseen condition via RFI Number WALSHGRP-0702. This modification addresses the government's subsequent direction to properly terminate the active line to prevent project delays and ensure site safety.
