About this forecast
The Food and Drug Administration is procuring an NMR 850 probe upgrade to enhance the sensitivity and analytical capability of an aging NMR console (11 years in service) for characterization of oligonucleotide and biologic structures in support of complex generic ANDA and biologic BLA assessments. The upgrade will enable the agency to transition from single-dimension or low-resolution two-dimensional NMR analysis limited to high-concentration drugs to higher-sensitivity characterization. The solicitation is estimated to release on January 1, 2027, with award anticipated by September 1, 2027.
The estimated award value ranges from $250,000 to $700,000. Performance occurs at the Food and Drug Administration. Questions may be directed to the Acquisition Liaison at cderacquisitions@fda.hhs.gov.
Forecast text
NMR console and probe degrade over time (11 years), and currently we are limiited to study of high concentration drugs using 1D or low resolution 2D NMR. The 850 NMR needs upgrade for senstivity to characterize oligonucleotide and biologic menotropin structure, supporting complex generic ANDA and biologic BLA assessment.
