About this forecast
The Food and Drug Administration is procuring a NanoFCM U30 Dual Laser Flow NanoAnalyzer for extracellular vesicle characterization and nanoparticle research across FDA laboratories, with solicitation release estimated for May 1, 2027 and award targeted for September 1, 2027. The instrument will enable multiparametric single nanoparticle analysis—currently unavailable on FDA campus—to support studies of extracellular vesicles, synthetic nanoparticles, viral vectors, and related nanomaterials.
Award value is estimated between $25,000 and $250,000. This is a new requirement with no set-aside applied. Inquiries should be directed to cberacquisitions@fda.hhs.gov.
Forecast text
We request a Flow NanoAnalyzer from NanoFCM to be used for our studies related to extracellular vesicle (EV) characterization and for use by other FDA researchers that study nanoparticles (e.g. synthetic nanoparticles, viral vectors, etc.) Single nanoparticle analysis is particularly challenging as it's low throughput and there are no options available on FDA campus that enable multiparametric nanoparticle assessment, which is possible with the NanoAnalyzer (and has become the most widely accepted nanoparticle characterization tool in the field of EV research).
