Forecast text
The Message Archival Tool’s primary function is to collect, ingest and preserve text messages (SMS/MMS) records from Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) government furnished equipment (GFE) mobile devices. The tool collects text message records directly from the wireless carriers (AT&T FirstNet, Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile) and stores them in their secured, segregated Cloud-based storage. The text messages are only collected based on account information from the wireless carriers which ensures that only messages to/from CBP GFE devices are collected. This tool does NOT require the installation or management of additional applications or software on the GFE devices or any additional hardware. The tool is required for approximately 48,025 lines of service to include 26,000 lines on Verizon, 22,000 lines on AT&T FirstNet and 25 lines on T-Mobile. The solution must have the ability to obtain text message (SMS/MMS) archival and retention capabilities by working directly with the commercial wireless service providers. CBP intends to exercise a one-year award under a new task order number against Cellular Wireless Managed Services (CWMS) 3.0IDIQ.
