About this forecast
The U.S. Coast Guard will release a solicitation on February 26, 2027, through CEU Providence for replacement of a 240-foot 6-inch watermain at Staten Island, New York. The work includes a new 8-inch connection to the municipal watermain along Nautilus Street and an isolation valve that allows system segregation for maintenance without station-wide water service loss, procured as a Firm Fixed Price action under the Design/Build Construction Services II (Regional) (RMACC II) vehicle and set aside for Total Small Business, with award anticipated May 31, 2027.
The estimated award value ranges from $1 million to $2 million, with performance scheduled from May 31, 2027 through October 29, 2027 at Staten Island, New York. Forecast text
This project would replace the 240ft 6-in watermain (highlighted in yellow on the picture to the right, with new eight-inch connection, supplied through a fire-rated compound meter, to the municipal watermain along Nautilus Street.
This project would also provide an isolation valve in the water supply line to the NE of the MSST Boathouse. Currently, there is no way to segregate this system, if any maintenance is needed on this line, the entire station would lose water service via isolation from a cut-off valve further up Nautilus Street.
