PROJECT DESCRIPTION
PROJECT NAME: Boundary Ridge Project
PROJECT LOCATION: The project is located on a ridge road shared by the San Bernardino and Angeles National Forests just off of County Road #5041, approximately 1 mile SE of the town of Wrightwood, CA
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The contractor shall furnish and install a new Single Heavy Weight Road Closure Gate (Angeles type). The contractor shall provide standard gate closure and warning signs on both sides of the gate. (See gate typicals D1 and D2) The gate and its posts will be painted white.

In addition two (2) 10 cu. yd. dump truck loads of material, from the borrow site, will be placed along the ridge road at two separated locations to further barricade off access from unauthorized motorized vehicles.
The contractor will also barricade the entrance across an unauthorized road (see map for location) by placing 44 cu. yds. of borrow material in addition to 28 T posts that will be partially buried and tied together. These T posts will be 8 foot in length and arranged in an X configuration. (See typical D4)
The borrow source for this project is located between the gate site and the unauthorized road along County Road #5041, approximately 0.28 miles below the gate installation site and approximately 0.50 miles from the unauthorized road closure site. (See typical D3)
