About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Medical Command published a Special Notice to award a sole source contract to bioMerieux for maintenance and servicing of a VITEK 2 microbiology analyzer located at the Guthrie Ambulatory Health Clinic in Fort Drum, NY. The contract is for a one year base period with four one-year option periods to provide all parts, equipment, labor, and travel for assessment, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and replacement of parts for the government-owned analyzer.
The Special Notice aims to award this sole source contract without competition due to the proprietary nature of the analyzer and bioMerieux being the original equipment manufacturer and sole provider of authorized maintenance services. Interested contractors have until December 15, 2023 to notify the contracting officer in writing if they believe they can meet the requirement and provide supporting evidence of their ability to comply. However, the decision to compete the proposed procurement or proceed with awarding a firm-fixed price contract to bioMerieux is at the Government's sole discretion. Eligible contractors must demonstrate expertise with the equipment, specific training, and necessary resources to perform the required maintenance and servicing.
