About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity, on behalf of the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research, is seeking information on commercially available veterinary information management software to accurately account for all aspects of laboratory animal use and research in order to comply with federal regulations. Key requirements for the software include tracking animal movement and protocols, scheduling, collecting treatment data, creating transfer requests, billing, managing outbreaks, and generating various reports. Responses are required to include a capability statement and completion of an attachment outlining 16 essential system characteristics by July 8, 2022.
No set-aside designation was used for this potential procurement. The justification document indicates the Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract to Key Solutions, LLC for veterinary information management software migration and support services valued at approximately $2.1 million over 5 years. Market research identified Key Solutions as the only firm meeting the single sign-on requirement to migrate current and historical animal research data for approximately 65,000 animals.
