About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land and Maritime is soliciting quotes for six safety relief valves manufactured by Danco and sourced from Dante Valve, specifically angle relief valves with union ends and 3/4 NPS. This Request for Quote (RFQ) requires electronic submission through SAM.gov, with a deadline of December 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Contractors must comply with DFARS cybersecurity requirements, including NIST SP 800-171 compliance, unless items are deemed Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS). Bidders must submit a signed and completed solicitation via email to Deborah.Beierle@dla.mil or fax, and ensure they check applicable boxes in clause 52.204-24. The solicitation includes additional requirements such as Web-Enabled Acquisition Management System (WAWF) electronic invoicing and Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) credentials for base access.

The contract is set aside 100% for small businesses under NAICS code 332911, with a size standard of 750 employees. The procurement allows for a quantity variation of +/- 10% per item, with a required delivery date of December 11, 2024. The place of performance is Bremerton, WA 98314, and the acquisition method is a Request for Quote with an inspection level of QA 4 for 7 days. A sole source justification document indicates the valve is proprietary, with specific requirements to relieve pressure at 92 psi within the system. Contractors must also provide comprehensive general liability insurance of $500,000 per occurrence. The solicitation references a specific proprietary drawing (D3400) and requires precise compatibility with existing systems, suggesting a technical and specialized procurement process.
