About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure two valve regulators with National Stock Number 7R-4820-015766228-P8, specifically for aircraft applications. This pre-solicitation notice indicates a requirement for highly specialized valves that can only be sourced from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), aircraft prime contractors, or suppliers with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification. The parts must possess an FAA Authorized Released Certificate (FAA Form 8130-3 Airworthy Approval Tag) from certified repair stations in compliance with 14 CFR Part 14 regulations. While specific evaluation criteria are not explicitly detailed, the procurement appears to prioritize technical compliance, FAA certification, and vendor qualifications. The opportunity was posted on January 28, 2025, with responses due by March 17, 2025, offering potential vendors a significant window for proposal preparation.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate any specific set-aside designations, suggesting the opportunity is open to a broad range of qualified vendors. The procurement is for a commercial, non-developmental, off-the-shelf item, which implies potential availability from multiple sources meeting strict technical and certification requirements. The quantity requirement is specifically for two (2) units, with delivery specified as FOB Origin. Early and incremental deliveries will be accepted, providing flexibility for potential contractors. Commercial item descriptions, vendor catalogs, price lists, and commercial manuals with assigned technical manual numbers will be relevant for proposal preparation. Interested parties can obtain additional technical specifications through the DoDSingle Stock Point (DODSSP) using online resources like ASSIST-Quick Search or by contacting the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk directly.
