About this opportunity
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Housing Service is seeking to lease between 2,450 and 2,756 square feet of office space in Lake City, Florida, with a maximum of 3,150 rentable square feet. The desired lease term is 20 years, with a firm term of 5 years and two 5-year option periods. The space must meet government requirements for fire safety, accessibility, seismic, and sustainability standards, and cannot be located in a 100-year flood plain. Expressions of interest are due by August 15, 2024, and a market survey is estimated to be conducted within 30 days after the due date. Entities interested in submitting an offer must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
This is not a set-aside opportunity. The current USDA office space lease is expiring, and the government is considering alternative space if it is economically advantageous. The NAICS code for this procurement is 53119 - Lessors of Other Real Estate Property. No information is provided about potential incumbents or current contractors, and the pre-solicitation notice does not specify any award values or budget ranges.
Notice text
Interest Sought Only
The U.S. Government currently occupies office and related space in a building under a lease in Lake City, Florida, that will be expiring. The Government is considering alternative space if economically advantageous. In making this determination, the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternative space that potentially can satisfy the Government’s requirements, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunication infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime.
