The purpose of this Amendment is to change the period of performance dates for the USCGC AHI DRYDOCK Repairs and to remove all reference of Work Item 45 from the specification and schedule of supplies/services.
Please review the attached Amendment as well as all of the attachments associated with this Amendment.
Acknowledgement of Amendment A00001 along with your revised quotation and any additional documentation as a result of this Amendment shall be submitted to Shavonda Jamison at Shavonda.Jamison@uscg.mil or 757-628-4628 no later than Friday, February 24, 2012 12:00pm EST. Please note that Acknowledgement of Amendment A00001 shall be accomplished by completing Block 8, 15A, 15B, and 15C of the Standard Form 30.

The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the drydock repairs to USCGC AHI (WPB-87364). The Coast Guard intends to conduct this procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. In accordance with FAR 52.232-18, the contract will be subject to the availability of appropriated funds. This procurement will be a Small Business set aside. All responsible Small business concerns may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the U.S. Coast Guard. The small business size standard for NAICS 336611 is less than 1,000 employees. The solicitation will be issued electronically as a Best Value Request for Quotation (RFQ) on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web page at http://www.fbo.gov on or about November 10, 2011 with quotes due on or about December 9, 2011. Please sign up for the Auto Notification Service to receive an e-mail from FedBizOpps when an action is taken under this solicitation. This commercial item requirement is set-aside for small business concerns and will be evaluated where as Past Performance is more important than Price. The vessel is geographically restricted within the state of Hawaii, HI. The place of performance will be at the contractor's facility. The Period of performance is forty-five (45) calendar days from on or about 11 July 2012 thru 24 August 2012.
The contractor shall provide all labor, material and equipment necessary for dockside repairs to the AHI (WPB-87364). The scope of work is for the drydocking, overhauling, renewing and repairing of various items aboard the AHI (WPB-87364). This work will include, but is not limited to:

All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. Drawings will be available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM is available free of charge to contractors upon request not later than four (4) days from the solicitation issuance. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). The Coast Guard intends to conduct this procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. In accordance with FAR 52.232-18, the contract will be subject to the availability of appropriated funds. This procurement will be a Small Business set aside. All responsible Small business concerns may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the U.S. Coast Guard. The small business size standard for NAICS 336611 is less than 1,000 employees. The Period of performance is fifty-nine (59) calendar days from on or about 13 April 2012 thru 11 May 2012.
