Notice text

The project work will be within three main reaches of the mainline levee between baseline stations MI 30/00+00 to MI 30/42+10 (Area 1), MI 31/20+00 to MI 32/18+50 (Area 2), and MI 32/30+00 to MI 32/50+46.5 (Area 3). The landside levee hydraulic gradients for these reaches are greater than what is allowable. Relief wells with associated drainage features will be constructed to mitigate the excessive hydraulic gradients within these levee reaches. The work consists of installing 38, 8-inch and 10-inch relief wells, installing 7 CMP culverts, digging collector ditches to drain water generated by relief wells, placing riprap with filter fabric around culverts, placing gravel with filter fabric on farm roads at culverts, maintaining environmental protection during construction, and fine grading, fertilizing, and seeding all disturbed areas after construction. The project is located on the mainline levee along the left descending bank of Mississippi River approximately 3 to 4 miles northwest of the town of Tunica, Mississippi. This project will be advertised as a Small Business Set-Aside. For the purpose of this procurement to qualify as a small business concern, in addition to being independently owned and operated and not dominate in the field of operation in which it is bidding on Government contracts, the concern must have had average annual sales receipts for the preceding three fiscal years not exceeding $33.5 million. The supplies or services to be procured in this solicitation are classified under NAICS code 237990. The estimated cost of the proposed work is between $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Solicitation will issue on/about 11 June 2014 and bid opening date will be on/about 15 July 2014. A copy of this solicitation may be downloaded from the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition Business Web Site at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. Offerors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM), including the NAICS code they are bidding under, in order to receive a Government contract award.
