Contractor to provide analysis of trace elements.The USGS Volcano Science Center (VSC) Menlo Park, CA, Hawaii Volcano Observatory (HVO), HI, and Cascades Volcano Observatory (CVO),WA require trace sample analysis for the following:
Line Item 0010: Trace element analysis using X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) for Si, Al, Ti, Fe, Mn, Ca, Mg, K, Na, P, Sc, V, Ni, Cr, Ba, Sr, Zr, Y, Rb, Ba, Ga, Cu, Zn, Pb, La, Ce, Th, Nd, and U
Line Item 0020: Trace element analysis using Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICPMS) for 14 REE's and BA, Th, Nb, Y, Hf, Ta, U, Pb, Rb, Cs, Sr, Sc, and Zr.
Analysis standards can be located at :http://minerals.cr.usgs.gov/geo_chem_stand/, paying special attention to AGV-2, BHVO-2, BIR-1, DTS-1, DTS-2b, GSP-2 and RGM-1.
This requirement will be an idefinite quantity, indefinite delivery contract for a base plus four years. Task orders will be issued as requirements are identified. Request for Quote (RFQ) G11PS00147, will be issued on or about 8 March 2011 with an anticipated award date of 05/31/2011. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
