Notice text
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Concrete and Materials Branch (CMB) has a requirement to purchase a new high temperature thermal analysis system, the Monotonic Heating Thermal Analysis Machine (MMH-19). The ERDC intends to issue an award to Thermtest, Inc., 34 Melissa St Unit 1, Richibucto Road, NB, E3A 6W1, CANADA (NCAGE Code: L9713), on a sole source basis. It has been determined that Thermtest is the only manufacturer of a monotonous heating thermal analysis system that can produce thermo-physical data on test samples that are analogous to actual concrete. The system will provide the ability to measure a material's response to temperatures not easily obtained by other equipment (1600C+), nor at the speed at which the Thermtest MMH-19 can achieve. The MMH-19 is not offered by third party resellers. The award will be issued in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b). The NAICS code for this requirement is 334516 with a size standard of 1,000 employees.
