About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 75 units of nonpowered valves under NSN 1H-4820-011016290-L1, TDP VER 006, for delivery to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine. This procurement falls under PSC category 4820 for valves, nonpowered, with the government maintaining full rights to technical data and indicating that the data package is complete without technical data, engineering, tooling, or manufacturing restrictions. The opportunity is posted as a pre-solicitation notice with a due date of August 15, 2025, following an April 22, 2025 posting date. Interested parties can obtain relevant military specifications, standards, and other standardized documents through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) via ASSIST-Online or by contacting the ASSIST Help Desk. The complete technical data package and lack of restrictions suggest this procurement is positioned for full and open competition among qualified vendors.
This opportunity is designated as a 100% set-aside for small business concerns under FAR clause 52.219-6, with the specific type of small business set-aside to be determined in the final solicitation through various potential clauses including HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned, or Historically Black College and University set-asides. The procurement involves a quantity of 75 units, representing a straightforward delivery requirement to a single naval facility. The A/RMC designations of 1 or 2 are noted as valid, indicating specific acquisition and requirements management codes that govern the procurement approach. No incumbent contractors, specific award values, or budget ranges are mentioned in this pre-solicitation notice. The timeline allows approximately four months from the posting date to the August 15, 2025 due date for interested small business concerns to prepare their responses.
