About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking to procure aircraft engine starters through solicitation SPRTA1-25-Q-0421. This procurement falls under the NAICS code 336413 for Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing and PSC code 2995 for Miscellaneous Engine Accessories, Aircraft. The agency has taken an exception to the standard synopsis requirement under FAR 5.202(a)(13) because the acquisition is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. The due date for this opportunity is August 14, 2025, with the pre-solicitation notice posted on July 15, 2025.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations, indicating it is open to all qualified contractors. The notice does not specify any incumbent contractors or current service providers for this requirement. While the exact award value is not disclosed, the agency has confirmed that the procurement value will remain below the simplified acquisition threshold, which suggests the contract value will be under $250,000. The notice references PR 25-01275 as the internal procurement request number but does not provide specific quantities of engine starters to be procured or detailed performance timelines. The electronic submission process through email indicates a streamlined acquisition approach consistent with simplified acquisition procedures.
