The project involves the renovation of approximately 9,000 square feet of the former HWSSC daycare facility and renovations on the ground floor of  Harold Washington Social Security Center for a prototype of a SSA Model Field Office.
The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the interior build-out of walls, ceilings, flooring, openings, MEP systems (mechanical, lighting, power, plumbing, fire suppression), new communications/data and security systems, new technologies and new furnishings. Exterior work to include new a new entry vestibule, walks, site furnishing (lighting, seating, etc.), storm drainage and landscaping.

The contractor is to provide all the management, supervision, manpower, equipment and supplies necessary for this project.

The contract completion time for this project is one hundred eighty (180) calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. The estimate cost range is between $5 million and $10 million. This is a negotiated, best value procurement.

The proposed contract is being solicited as a Small Business Set Aside. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 236220 with an average gross revenue of $36.5 million for the last three (3) years. The Request for Proposal will be issued on or about August 18, 2016.

The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing FedBizOpps (Federal Business Opportunities) at www.fbo.gov. This is a secure website designed to safeguard sensitive but unclassified (SBU) acquisition information. It is fully integrated with other electronic government initiatives such as the System for Award Management (SAM), and is available for use by all Federal agencies. All government contractors must be registered in SAM prior to receiving an award. You may access SAM at the following URL: www.sam.gov. Once you have registered with SAM you will be required to register with FedBizOpps. No federal materials can be downloaded until you have registered under both sites.

At a minimum, all vendors mist supply the following information: Your company's Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN), DUNS number or CAGE Code (Contact Dun & Bradstreet at 1-800-333-0505 if you do not have a D&B number), telephone number, and your email address.
