About this opportunity

This pre-solicitation notice seeks sources for a high speed quenching and deformation dilatometer to meet the specifications provided. The Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground requires a unit capable of deformation mode and quenching dilatometric operation, with temperature, rate, strain, and load capabilities as defined. Interested parties must respond by July 13 with details on how their equipment meets the specifications, business size and socioeconomic status. Responses will be evaluated based on extent of meeting specifications and past performance on similar projects.

No set-aside is designated. The NAICS code is 334516 and PSC code is J019. Responses are required from large and small businesses. Small businesses must indicate any small disadvantaged status. One unit is required, with delivery within 6 weeks of award. Key capabilities include temperature ranges from -150 to 1600°C, heating and cooling rates from 0.001 to 4000°C/s, maximum load of 25kN, and deformation and displacement resolutions as fine as 10nm and 40nm respectively.
