The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command Warren, on behalf of Close Combat Systems at US Army TACOM, Detroit Arsenal, MI, are currently seeking sources that have a mature (technology readiness level 7 or higher) shock tube initiation (STI) device that can be used with the Remote Activation Munition System (RAMS) to initiate in-line shock tube and are capable of manufacturing and supplying this system.
Shock Tube Initiation (STI) device is an adapter to the Remote Activation Munition System (RAMS) M16, MK16 MOD 0, and M39 receivers; designed to take the electrical output of the receiver to mechanically initiate shock tube MDI items (M19, M21, M23), and their blasting caps attached to a charge or munition.
