About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is seeking qualified sources to provide new shipboard lockers through a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items. This procurement is being conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, with the solicitation number N5005425Q0307. The Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) has specified that all parts must be new, with no refurbished or used parts accepted. The solicitation will be posted on the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), with responses due by May 23, 2025. Potential vendors must review the attached Statement of Work (SOW) and comply with provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2025-03 and the DFARS Change notice 20241218.
This contract opportunity is set aside exclusively for small businesses in the Sheet Metal Work Manufacturing category (NAICS 332322) and specifically for Cabinets, Lockers, Bins, and Shelving (PSC 7125). While specific award values and precise quantities are not detailed in the solicitation, the contract appears focused on procuring standard shipboard storage equipment for naval vessels. The procurement is being managed by a defense agency, indicating potential strategic importance for naval infrastructure and equipment standardization. Interested vendors must be prepared to meet stringent quality requirements, particularly the mandate for new, unused parts. The geographical scope suggests the lockers will be used in mid-Atlantic naval facilities or vessels, though the exact place of performance is not explicitly stated in the available documentation.
