****A revised PWS has been uploaded to update section 8.1. - Classified access is required for performance of the contract.****
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY – This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes – it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. Solicitations are not available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the United States Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the United States Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the United States Government. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on SAM.gov. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement.
The Mission Information Team, SED, DEVCOM Soldier Center, is seeking support in Ground Soldier Technology Workflow, Integration, and eXperience, and GS-TWIX effort develops ground Soldier-centric information technology across the hardware, software, network, and data spectrum as well as to optimize the ground Soldier’s ability to shoot, move and communicate according to the Army Modernization Priorities. GS-TWIX will impact multiple DEVCOM Soldier Center efforts and collaborations including Sensored Soldier, Nett Warrior, Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS), Soldier Integration Facility (SIF), Joint Program Executive Office (JPEO) Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CBRND), OUSD Research and Engineering (R&E) 5G Tactical Applications for Small Units in Distributed Operations (5GTA-SUDO). GS-TWIX specifically seeks to design, develop, and analyze solutions associated with small unit ground Soldier systems and devices as they impact Soldier sub-systems integration, Soldier workflow, and Soldier experience. Historically, Small Unit systems were electronic in nature. Currently, Small Unit systems span the mechanical, electrical, software, network, and data engineering spectrum. Furthermore, the operational space for these solutions is also diverse covering warfighter functions spanning lethality, maneuver, communications, logistics, and protection.
MIT is seeking the following information:
1. Potential Respondents shall describe how they would propose to successfully perform each of the five task (Sensored Soldier, Nett Warrior, SIF, JPEO CBRND, and OUSD 5G) assuming that all services provided by Respondent would be accomplished in accordance with all applicable U.S. laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
2. Potential Respondents shall describe both their existing relationships and past performance/experience with the following entities and the extent to which such relationships would enable Respondents to successfully perform each of the five tasks:
a. Sensored Soldier (see PWS section 3.1 for additional information)
b. Nett Warrior and Ground Soldier System (see PWS section 3.2 for additional information)
c. Ground Soldier Systems Integration (see PWS section 3.3 for additional information)
d. CBRND Integration with Ground Soldier Systems (see PWS section 3.4 for additional information)
e. 5G Tactical Applications for Small Units in Distributed Operations (5GTA-SUDO) (see PWS section 3.5 for additional information)
