  • SUPPLIER MUST PROVIDE WRITTEN CERTIFICATION THAT HOSE ASSEMBLIES (HOSE AND FITTING) HAVE BEEN HYDROSTATICALLY TESTED AT 600 PSIG WITH CLEAN, FRESH WATER FOR 30 MINUTES WITH ZERO LEAKS, WEEPS, END FITTING SLIPPAGE AND/OR BULGES.
  • A COPY OF THIS CERTIFICATION IS TO BE SENT TO CODE 135, BUILDING 276, AND A COPY IS TO BE SENT TO CODE 532 TO BE FILED WITH CONTRACT.
  • HOSE SHALL BE PARKER 7311NXT OR EQUIVALENT.
  • AT NO COST TO THE GOVERNMENT, NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REQUEST A SAMPLE ASSEMBLY FOR TESTING AND EVALUATION PURPOSES FROM ANY OR ALL OFFERORS DURING EVALUATION PROCESS.

This procurement will be processed in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The solicitation number is SPMYM1-23-Q-0078 and it is expected to be posted on or around 21 July 2023. Quotes will be due by 12:00 PM EST on 01 August 2023 and may be emailed to the attention of Monica Richardson at  monica.richardson@dla.mil.  

Please make sure that the solicitation number (SPMYM1-23-Q-0078) is included in the subject line of any email correspondence. Emails without subject lines will not be read because of security issues. Vendors must answer all evaluation factors and sign the first page of the solicitation for their bids to be considered viable.  

 Award will be based on Total Lowest Price of material that meets salient characteristics and delivery schedule.
