Work is located at the Roza Powerplant, approximately three miles northeast of Yakima, Washington in Yakima County. This action is being solicited via full and open completion. Proposals will be accepted from all responsive and responsible business concerns.

The Roza Powerplant was built in 1958 as a canal-fed hydropower generating facility. It is located off the Yakima River in south-central Washington State. It has a single 12.9 MW, 6.6 kV generator. The Roza switchyard has two single 14MVA transformers at the generator bus voltage; the 115-kV Bonneville Power Administration¿s (BPA) line feed and the 34.5 kV Roza Irrigation District (RID) line feed. A single generator circuit breaker feeds the switchyard¿s 6.6 kV bus. The plant was built primarily to provide low-cost power for pumps in Roza Irrigation District. Excess generation is delivered to BPA for resale. This service is very important to the participating farmers, and interruptions can have a profound impact on the regional economy. This project seeks to restores the quality and robustness of the switchyard by upgrading obsolete critical high voltage breakers, switches, station services switchgear and relays resulting in an increase of the protection and reliability of the overall system. Work will be composed of the following:

A. Removing existing 6.6kV unit breaker U1A (112) from control board.
