Pre-Solicitation Notice - Routine Substation Maintenance
Department of the Air Force, Air Force Space Command, 30 CONS, 1515 Iceland Ave, Room 150, Vandenberg AFB, CA 93437-5212
The Air Force intends to issue a solicitation, Request for Proposal Number FA4610-11-R-0037, for routine substation maintenance services for nine (9) substations and one (1) 12kv switch yard (Switch Yard M) that are connected to the 69kV transmission and 12kV distribution systems respectively, located at Vandenberg AFB, California, on or about 23 October 2012. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, supplies, and materials to support routine substation maintenance services on Vandenberg AFB. The proposed period of performance is a one year base period (1 July 2013 - 30 June 2014) with four one year options extended through 30 June 2018, plus a six month option to extend services through 31 December 2018 exercised by the unilateral right of the Government. Award for this requirement contemplated based on full and open competition. The NAICS code is 811219 and the size standard is $19M. This acquisition will be procured pursuant to the requirements in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 15 Contracting by Negotiation. All potential offerors are reminded that in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.204-99 (Dev) System for Award Management Registration (SAM), lack of registration in the SAM will make an offeror ineligible for contract award.
