About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a single unit of a specific aircraft accessory or component, identified by NSN 7R-1680-016219044-P8. The proposed contract will be negotiated under FAR 6.302-1, which allows for single-source procurement. Interested parties have 45 days from the publication date (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement) to submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements demonstrating their ability to meet the requirement. The government will evaluate submissions to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement, though they are not obligated to do so. Potential vendors can obtain relevant technical specifications through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) using ASSIST-Online or by contacting their help desk.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside for small businesses or disadvantaged vendors. While the exact award value is not specified, the procurement is for a quantity of one unit with delivery designated as FOB Origin. The government will accept early and incremental deliveries, suggesting flexibility in the contract terms. Potential vendors should note that the government is not applying FAR Part 12 policies for commercial item acquisition, though interested parties may identify commercial item capabilities within 15 days of the notice. The contract documents will be considered "issued" when deposited in mail, transmitted by facsimile, or sent through electronic commerce methods like email, with the government's acceptance of a proposal constituting bilateral agreement.
