About this opportunity
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration published this Special Notice seeking information to support the development of transformative technologies. NASA's technology development focuses on high-risk, high-reward activities that advance critical technologies to enable NASA missions and support other government agencies and commercial needs.
This Request for Information specifically inquires about the market demand and partnership approaches for operational Rotating Detonation Rocket Engine solutions. Respondents are requested to provide information on the ideal thrust class and propellant combination for early adoption, explicit applications and market analysis, critical interfaces, key performance parameters, and required tests or data products. NASA also asks whether a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement is a viable investment approach for public-private partnerships. Responses are due by January 5, 2024 and should not exceed 10 pages with a one-page summary. NASA intends to make all ground system testing data publicly available subject to export restrictions.
