About this opportunity
Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) is requesting expressions of interest from qualified, accredited laboratories to perform hazard classification testing for a 2.3% acetonitrile mixture under NFPA 400 requirements. The mixture consists of 97.7% water, 2.2964% acetonitrile, 0.00335% acrylonitrile, 0.00005% acetone, 0.00003% N-nitrosodimethylamine, and 0.00007% air, and has already been classified as a Class IIIB combustible liquid with a flash point of 200°F. The classification must be performed by an approved, qualified organization, individual, or testing laboratory that can evaluate the mixture's overall hazard profile as a complete unit rather than individual components. The solicitation does not specify award values, budget ranges, or quantities of testing services required. The timeline for service delivery is not detailed in this pre-solicitation phase. No specific contract duration or performance period is mentioned in the current notice. The opportunity appears to be for a single hazard classification analysis rather than ongoing testing services.
