1) Hours of operation? A) Normal MIFC hours are 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
2) Desk & Cubicals walls etc.? A) Contractor is responsible for moving desks & filling cabinets as needed
3) Exposed ducting in DNR operations area? A) Ducting in exposed areas are to be painted to match existing.
Amendment #2, add option 4, schedule site visit, and change Solicitation due date.
Change schedule of items to include option four (4) replace 5 warehouse heaters: (see attached)
• Replace 5 Warehouse Heaters
o 2 Heaters Input Rating 250k btu/hour
o 3 Heaters Input Rating 75k btu/hour
o Modine High Efficiency II model or equivalent
• Provide all plumbing hardware and venting adaptors to existing exhaust
• Provide all Tools, Labor and parts needed
Site Visit is scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday April 6, 2016.
Solicitation due date is changed to: 2:00 PM Tuesday April 19, 2016.

Synopsis AG-63A9-S-16-0006 has been amended to extended the synopsis two weeks, new date for the contracting officer to post the solicitation is February 18, 2016, 2:00 PM CT. The new vendor response date is March 18, 2016, 2:00 PM CT.
The USDA Forest Service, Superior National Forest, located in Duluth Minnesota anticipates issuing a Request for Proposals to Replace HVAC system, Controls, Electrical, Rooftop units, ducting, VAV's, thermostats, lighting, and ceiling components at the Minnesota Interagency Fire Center in Grand Rapids, MN
The contractor(s) shall provide all expertise, labor, supervision, services, equipment, tools, supplies, and permits (when and if required), transportation, and incidentals necessary to perform the HVAC replacement, along with other associated minor activities.
Price range is between $350,000 and $600,000 with options.
This is a synopsis, the full solicitation documents including specifications will be issued on or about February 18, 2016. Deadline for proposals will be March 18, 2016. Questions concerning the solicitation must be in writing and sent via email to Paul Nephew, Contracting Officer, pnephew@fs.fed.us.
In order to receive award under this RFP the successful offeror shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), and have completed the online representations and certifications (www.orca.gov) data base. NAICS: 238220, the size standard is $15 Million. This project is being solicited as a 100% set aside for Small Business. All work is to comply with local, Federal and State codes and is subject to Department of Labor wage rates. Solicitation Number AG-63A9-S-16-0006.
All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Forest Service.
